Brownie Troop 356 donated 20 adoption bags to the Turlock Animal Shelter on Tuesday. The bags include pet items that will be given to the families that adopt a new pet from the shelter.  The girls earned their Community Service badge for their efforts.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
