Dozens of Turlock families grabbed a blanket and some snacks and made their way to the Turlock Regional Sports Complex Friday night for the season’s final “Movies Under the Stars” event hosted by the Recreation Division.
Friday’s family-friendly flick was “Hotel for Dogs.” Two movies were featured this month; “Kung Fu Panda” was shown on Sept. 4.
“We did this two weeks ago and it was so much fun we came back,” said Tracie Hatchell, who was there with her two children ages seven and three.
The Suarez family awaited the beginning of the movie with a picnic dinner.
“This is our first night here,” said Priscilla Suarez. “I saw it posted on Facebook and thought we’d come check it out.”
Friday’s movie was sponsored by the City of Turlock Go Green campaign. The Recreation Division is currently looking for sponsors for a spring movie series. For more information, call 668-5594.
