The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is seeking the family of a man who died Friday in Turlock.

The 69-year-old man has tentatively been identified as James Roberts, but could also go by another name.

Around 8 p.m. Friday the Turlock Police Department was called to an address in the 1700 block of Fulkerth Road for a report of an injured man.

It was initially thought the man, subsequently identified as Roberts, had been hit by a car while riding his bike, but officers later learned he had been staying in the garage of a nearby home and had fallen off his bicycle while leaving. Officers were given information that the man had an underlying medical condition that may have precipitated the fall.

Roberts was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he died.

Anyone with information about Roberts or his family is asked to contact the coroner’s office at 567-4500.
