Kristi Garcia of Backstage Academy of Dance, along with husband Ray Garcia, receives The Encore Dance Ambassador award. Garcia and her studio were chosen out of a total of 40 participants because of the passion and drive the dance studio exemplifies.

“Kristi Garcia, her faculty, and dance families at Backstage Academy of Dance not only embodies what we look for in an Ambassador they exemplify the meaning.  Kristi took her dancers to Vegas and collaborated with another studio to share the stage with them creating a single dance, sharing creative concept, choreography, rehearsing via zoom, educating her dancers to be supportive of another studio and learn from them as well.  There is a place for everyone who loves dance, it’s not always about winning or losing, but it is always about expressing yourself through movement and having a passion for what we all love to do, dance,” said Encore Director Brad Barnes. The studio received the award at the beginning of July.
