Based on the constant flow of customers bustling in and out of A Beautiful Reflection & Day Spa today, it is hard to imagine that owner Kerry Corduck-Strickland started out with a meager clientele in her own skin studio less than a decade ago.
“I had one or two clients at the time, but I decided to grow my business into a small day spa,” said Corduck-Strickland. “It was kind of ‘do-or-die.’”
In her new business, Corduck-Strickland was surprised when she found herself overwhelmed as her employees struggled to cater to the hair, massage, skin, and nail needs of her quickly flourishing clientele.
“It did not take long for us to outgrow our salon, so when our current location became available to rent, I took another chance,” said Corduck-Strickland.
Now, Corduck-Strickland can safely say that she is prepared to fulfill the beauty desires of her customers with five hair stylists, four manicurists, two massage therapists, three estheticians and a nurse who offers Botox, fillers and laser services.
“We have a seasoned staff. Most have been doing their line of work anywhere between ten and 20 years and we even have some that have been doing their line of work for over 20 years” said Corduck-Strickland. “Everybody is seasoned here. They are professionals.”
“We are also very customer-oriented. We want to make sure our customers are satisfied,” added Corduck-Strickland.
At A Beautiful Reflection & Day Spa, customers can pamper themselves in a variety of hair, nail, massage, skin, makeup, waxing and spray tan services, as well as detoxifying body treatments in a relaxing salon atmosphere. Clients can also celebrate their next big event with a number of party, couple and group packages.
In between beauty services, clients can browse the day spa and salon’s boutique, which includes jewelry and accessories. The boutique also offers dermatological skin care products and Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics.
“I think everybody needs some ‘me-time,’” said Corduck-Strickland. “It’s a relaxing time and I feel like we can offer a nice relaxing atmosphere and spoil them.”
