Death ruled suicide

The death of a man found at a Turlock egg supplier was ruled a suicide, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

The deceased was found Monday afternoon in a barn at Rainbow Farms by a manager.

The deceased was identified by the sheriff’s department as Jose Guzman, 56, of Winton.

The sheriff’s department said Guzman died from a self-inflicted wound.

As thousands took to Turlock over the last two weeks for the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair, the absence of a family that was incredibly dedicated to the community and especially its agricultural activities was heavily felt by several attendees. That included members of the Pitman High School FFA chapter.
