While the landscape of the intersection of Monte Vista Avenue and Golden State Boulevard has changed dramatically since 1971, there is one thing that has remained the same: Denis RV Center.

Denis RV Center, a family owned business, sells strictly used recreational vehicles, which means that the inventory is always changing. With new shipments weekly, the local business sells everything from motor homes, fifth wheels, toy boxes, toy hullers, travel trailers, tent trailers, and more.

“We have a lot of options,” said Office Manager Tillie Fontes.

Denis RV also offers parts and services and has even recently broken into the BBQ industry, selling everything from grill accessories to pellets. Along with the range of RVs and grills, there is also a service team ready to assist buyers on the lot, something Fontes attributes to the company’s longstanding success.

“Because we are a small business we can really be hands-on start to finish with our customers and they appreciate that,” explained Fontes. “We have the same salesman that will start with a customer when they first enter the lot and will be the same people shaking their hand when they pull their trailer off the yard.”

This has contributed to not only return customers, but referrals as well, explained Fontes.

While it is unclear how the areas surround Denis RV Center will develop in upcoming year, the family owned company intends to maintain its stake in the region.

 “We’ve always taken pride in that small, family owned service you get with us,” said Fontes. “The business was passed on from the father of the two gentlemen who run it now. It went from one generation to the next and I suspect it will continue that way.”
