Almost two years after its founding, Dust Bowl Distillery is expanding its reach with its first ready-to-drink (RTD) product.

The Turlock-based distillery — an extension of Dust Bowl Brewing Co. — announced March 23 the debut of its Blackberry Lemonade Moonshine Cocktail in 12-ounce, four-pack cans.

The drink features real fruit flavors and Dust Bowl’s signature moonshine and is 8% ABV, described as having “vibrant balance of juicy blackberry sweetness and bright lemonade tartness.”

“This bold and refreshing release marks an exciting new chapter for the distillery as it expands beyond traditional spirits into the rapidly growing RTD space,” the distillery said in a press release.

Luke Baker, product development manager, explained that the drink is the result of “months of experimenting with recipes and ingredients,” and that more flavors are coming soon as Dust Bowl further enters the RTD market.

Dust Bowl Distillery is located at the company’s Turlock brewery and taproom at 3000 Fulkerth Road. Described as a boutique distillery, it features a 140-liter CARL still enhanced by the addition of a vodka column and gin basket from Minnetonka Brewing Equipment, allowing for a broad range of spirits to be produced. It is visible to guests through the taproom’s bar windows.

The distillery’s first spirit when it launched in June of 2024 was the Original Moonshine, debuting in moonshine slushies. In December 2024, Dust Bowl Distillery began bottling gin and dry gin. The distillery then released Apple Pie Moonshine and Cinnamon Moonshine in early 2025.

The Blackberry Lemonade Moonshine Cocktail is available now at Dust Bowl’s Turlock taproom, select retailers and online for direct-to-consumer shipping to California residents 21 years and older.
