Fairs new lounge looks to inspire young women

The Stanislaus County Fair has partnered with Vintage Faire Mall and Yonan’s Jewelers to bring guests a contemporary and inspirational lounge for young women, ages 16 to 25, to enjoy. The empowHER Lounge will be a lounge geared towards inspiring young girls to be great leaders in our community. “Young females need to feel more confident within themselves for the real world and harness better leadership skills,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

Every Memorial Day, locals put on their red, white and blue attire, maybe don a red poppy in remembrance of the fallen, and make their way to Turlock Memorial Park cemetery.
