Family, friends and community members in Turlock bid farewell to Coast Guardsman Joshua X. Noz, who died in a motorcycle collision March 27 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Noz, 28, was a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the Coast Guard and served aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Ahi. He had been in the Coast Guard since 2011 and worked as a machinery technician. He was a graduate of schools in the Denair Unified School District and attended Modesto Junior College.

The service for Noz at Our Lady of Assumption on Thursday morning included an honor guard from the military and an escort from the Patriot Riders Guard.

Noz is survived by his wife Kayli Noz, of Denair; their 3-year-old son Eli; parents Diane and Casper Noz; Stephanie De Muro and Andrea Waugaman; niece Emma Huber; and nephews Logan Huber and Casper De Muro.
