Dick’s Sporting Goods may have nearly 600 stores in the country but there is only one Dusty Baker who will be appearing at the grand opening of Turlock’s newest athletic store during Halloween weekend.

While the famed former San Francisco Giants manager won’t make an appearance until Sunday, the festivities will begin on Oct. 31 where the first 100 people in line will be eligible to receive a free Reebok Play Dry t-shirt. Saturday and Sunday giveaways include a free mystery gift card from $5 to $500 for the first 100 adults in line and those who find their spots by 7:45 a.m. on Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday will also get a chance to open the store’s gift locker which is stored with prizes.  

“Dick’s Sporting Goods is excited to become a member of the Turlock community with the opening of our newest location,” said Lauren Hobart, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “We look forward to serving the athletes and outdoor enthusiasts in Turlock and inspiring them to achieve their personal best.”

Dick’s is a omni-channel sporting goods retailer with an assortment of authentic, high-quality sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories. The new location will feature Nike and Under Armour shops, athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear, and the latest gear for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing. More than 40 in-store services by Dick’s certified pros in sports and outdoor specialties such as bike, golf and fishing will also be available.

On Sunday Dusty Baker will be making an appearance from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and those with a wristband will be able to receive an autograph. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of event.
