Foster Farms kicked off its summer meal donation program at Second Baptist Church in Modesto on Tuesday.

To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Foster Farms is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank for its “Pass the Plate” West Coast meal donation program. The company will be distributing meals to 75 local families (300 family members) each week for 12 weeks throughout the summer.

In addition to partnering with seven local food banks along the West Coast and donating complete chicken dinners to local families in need for 12 weeks throughout the summer, Foster Farms has also committed to helping to feed an additional 75,000 people based on consumer participation in its online share program. West Coast residents are encouraged to share their mealtime moments online and for every “Pass the Plate” social media share, Foster Farms will help to donate chicken for one meal to a local food bank. Consumers can learn more and participate by visiting Take75.com.
