“Planting Seeds of Hope” is the theme of the 4th annual Turlock Garden Club's garden tour, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23.

This year's tour offers a wide variety of properties featuring lively entertainment areas, relaxing family spots, drought-tolerant features, cutting gardens and a western-themed venue. Also included is the outdoor space of Jessica's House in Turlock, a Turlock Garden Club project. Jessica's House is a grief support program for children, teens, young adults and their families.

Eight properties are on display this year, four in Turlock and four in Hilmar, and refreshments and “raffatunity” items will be available.

Addresses to each garden are printed on the tickets. Programs and large maps to the homes are available at each address. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and can be purchased at The Greenery in Turlock, Westurf in Modesto, Morris Nursery in Riverbank, and from garden club members. Proceeds from the tour provide scholarships and support community service projects.
