Christina VanDyle won a $10,000 lottery prize on Tuesday. Not the California Lottery, but the Save Mart Customer Connection Cash Giveaway. VanDyle was one of 10 Save Mart employees across Northern California who won the prize for excellent customer service. Her name was randomly drawn from 63,000 entrants who all performed well on quarterly mystery shopper visits. The winner was revealed by Save Mart CEO Bob Piccinini (pictured above, right) during his annual visit to the store.
VanDyle is a part-time service clerk and a student at Modesto Junior College. She has been working at Save Mart for two and a half years. She said she plans to put most of the money into savings, and she hopes to pay off part of her student loans.
“I’m just so surprised, I can’t even think of what to do with (the money) right now,” VanDyle said.
