Home Depot is inviting the entire community to come out for a day of fun and public safety demonstrations at its annual Safety Fair on Saturday.

The event will feature visits from the Turlock Fire Department, Turlock Police Department, Stanislaus County K-9 Unit, Stanislaus County SWAT , Bomb and Dive squads and an American Medical Response ambulance.

Along with public safety representatives will be information on canal safety by the Turlock Irrigation District. The Boy Scouts will be doing first aid demonstrations, and the Girl Scouts will be handing out free first aid kits.

Along with the safety element will be a kids workshop, bounce house, face painting, coloring contest, music and a car show featuring Mark Bush's homemade electric car.

There will also be a community blood drive. Volunteers who donate a pint will get a free movie pass.

The Home Depot Safety Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 2800 Countryside Dr., Turlock.
