Students from Cunningham Elementary School enjoy their new library Friday which was remodeled by Target’s School Library Makeover program. Target donated rugs, bean bags, 500 books, school supplies, shelves, school supplies, a clock and bins. To be a part of this program, school libraries must be nominated.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
