Local business 'Paints It Forward'

Lancaster Painting is once again looking for an opportunity to share its services by providing a free paint job for their 3rd annual “Paint It Forward” program.

Community members throughout Stanislaus County are encouraged to nominate a commendable individual or organization before the Dec. 14 deadline.

The company’s employees and spouses will then choose a winner based on their communal impact, and provide free paint and labor for an interior or exterior paint job.

“Our goal is to honor and assist local people who are doing good in the community and are under pressure,” said Lancaster sales assistant Jennifer Beede.

Lancaster Paint has previously provided free paint jobs for the Baker family foster home in association with Aspiranet, and the Community Continuum College. Beede said the support they’ve received from continuing this event is overwhelming and “humbling.”

“It gives us an opportunity to give back. It is the community that we serve,” Beede said. “We wouldn’t be where we are without the support of the community.”

Lancaster Painting will kick off the New Year by announcing the winner by the first week of January, and complete the project in February.

Beede hopes more community members will “dig deep” and submit various applications within the regional area.

“We would love to help,” she said.
