History of Business: Lina Ericsen was a spin student of six months prior to purchasing Cyclefit Spin Studio, a dedicated cycling space on Geer Road.

Now the present owner of the studio, as well as one third of the teaching staff, Ericsen enjoys imparting the benefits of stationary cycling with the Turlock community.

“I had been searching for an exercise that offered a high calorie burn along with tightening and toning, but I needed something really joint friendly at my age,” explained Ericsen. “Spinning was my solution.”

While Cyclefit Spin Studio has been open since 2011 it was just last year that Ericsen purchased the facility from the previous owner where spinners of all levels can work out. Contrary to typical gym contracts Ericsen offers month to month memberships with unlimited advanced classes for $50 and unlimited beginning classes for $40. Student can also purchase a five class punch card for $30.

An energizing class workout setting, according to Ericsen the benefits of spinning at Cyclefit extend beyond getting in shape.

“People are able to come together and workout but also socialize,” said Ericsen. “It really is more of a family.”

Those interested in learning more about spinning and the Cyclefit facility can attend an open house from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the studio on Oct. 25.

Business Specialty: stationary bike cycling.
