Main West Postacute Care celebrated national nursing home week Friday night with its first-ever prom. Residents danced the night away and relived some of their fondest high school memories, complete with a backdrop for photos, plenty of music and even a limousine with a red carpet.

 Highlights of the night included a fun game of musical chairs, Activities Director Nancy Chanthavong said, and the election of a prom king and queen for both residents and staff.

“The residents had so much fun, they didn’t want to go back to their rooms,” Chanthavong said.
