History of Business: Bringing a touch of beauty to Downtown Turlock, professional makeup artist and esthetician Christa Shoenenberger recently opened her salon Blush Makeup and Beauty Lounge, offering quality services at affordable prices in a well-designed and fun atmosphere.
Working in the makeup industry for over seven years, Shoenenberger is dedicated to creating the exact look her clients are looking for. Whether for weddings, proms, or just a special occasion, Blush Makeup and Beauty Lounge does it all, combining the latest trends and high quality makeup products with the most up-to-date colors to create a look that suits each client’s personality and taste.
In addition to makeup applications, Shoenenberger offers a range of organic skin treatments in addition to various waxing services as a licensed esthetician. After establishing herself as a makeup artist, Shoenenberger says that she found a passion for transforming and brightening the lives of many through esthetics, which has also given her the ability to “fully understand the science of beauty.”
For those interested in learning the art of makeup, Blush Makeup and Beauty Lounge also offers three different classes where clients can learn either the most basic or advanced techniques in makeup application, colors and product choice. In the 1-hour Beginner Makeup class, Shoenenberger helps clients learn what products and color palettes works best for them, while learning how to apply the basics to give a boost to their every day look. If interested in learning advanced techniques such as flawless smokey eyes, winged eyeliner, contouring or false-lash application, a 2-hour Advanced Makeup class is also available. Additionally, the Teen Makeup class helps teach young women age appropriate makeup choices and techniques to help boost self-confidence while covering blemishes and keeping a natural look. Classes are booked by Shoenenberger.
Blush Makeup and Beauty Lounge will also now be offering hair services, including styling, blow outs, wedding/special event up-dos, and more.
