The man struck and killed by a train Nov. 18 has been identified as a Turlock resident. The deceased was identified as 56-year-old John Sweeten, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office. Around 11 a.m. Nov. 18, the train engineer on the Union Pacific freight line called 911 and reported striking an unknown object.
