Local pickle ball players converged at Crane Park Wednesday to help City of Turlock employees paint lines for two new pickle ball courts. Since Crane Park provides better lighting than the other courts many players go to at Columbia Park, Colin Homer said the intent of the project was to provide an area for local pickle ball players to play during the evening hours. Homer said he and other players have been working with the city for over a year to bring this project to fruition

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
