Calling it “a monumental day for the city of Turlock,” Police Chief Rob Jackson, joined by Turlock Fire Chief Tim Lohman, Mayor John Lazar, city officials and invited dignitaries, ushered in a milestone for the community with the official dedication of the newly opened Turlock Public Safety Facility.
The facility has been six years in the making and cost more than $30 million. The more than 59,000 square feet houses the Turlock Police Department and the administrative branch of the Turlock Fire Department.
The public will get a chance to explore the new building and all of it modern amenities when both departments host their annual open house event, set for Oct. 26 this year.
