The first births of the year typically generate some excitement, but this year it was the birth of quadruplets to a Denair couple closing out 2020 that really generated some buzz.

Tania and Rene of Denair, who were only identified by their first names, are the new parents to four boys born on Thursday at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

The boys were born exactly two minutes apart from each other. All four babies are healthy and are currently in the neonatal intensive care unit getting specialized care until they are ready to go home, said Tenet Healthcare spokesperson Krista Deans.

"Our team was prepared and overjoyed to deliver the babies," Deans said.

The four boys are the first children for the couple.
