Normally green fields in the area will soon be speckled with pink, blue, yellow, purple, orange and red as there are a number of Easter egg hunts scheduled for the upcoming weekend. Below is just a few local events open to the public.
Turlock
· The 4th annual Kiwanis Club of Greater Turlock Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday behind the Turlock High School boys gym. The event will include music, face painting, a petting zoo, raffle and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. and will include Golden Egg prizes.
· The 26th annual Phi Sigma Sigma Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Stanislaus State Quad, 1 University Circle, Turlock. This event will help support the sorority’s partner school, Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy. There will be food, games, prizes, activities and an egg hunt that starts at 12:10 p.m. There are individual ticket prices for the games and activities or an all-access pass. · The Turlock Mom’s Club annual Spring Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 2300 E. Zeering Rd., Denair. This free family event features a local makers and vendor fair, kids’ crafts and activities, music, raffles, bounce houses, photos with the Easter Bunny and, of course, egg hunts.
- Ages 5 and under will hunt at 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
- Ages 6 and up will hunt at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Ceres
· The City of Ceres will host its annual Egg-cellent Event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ceres Community Center, 2701 4th St., Ceres. This free event will feature arts, crafts, vendors, games, sweet treats and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Waterford
· Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation will host the 10th Annual Egg Hunt at Modesto Reservoir from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The family-friendly event will feature more than 12,000 eggs, four age-based egg hunts, and a variety of free games and activities.
Egg hunts will take place by age group at the following times:
Ages 1–2 (Toddler): 11 a.m.
Ages 3–5 (Kiddie): 11:30 a.m.
Ages 6–8 (Junior): 12 p.m.
Ages 9–11 (Big Kid): 12:30 p.m.
For safety and event flow, participation by accompanying adults is limited to the Toddler egg hunt. Accommodations are available for children who may need additional assistance; please notify event staff at check-in.
Special prize eggs will be hidden in each hunt, giving participants a chance to win a bicycle or themed prize basket.
The Parks Bunny will be available for free photos beginning at 10:30 a.m. Additional activities include trackless train, crafts, face painting, obstacle courses, and more. The first 250 children to check in will receive a free goodie bag while supplies last. Food vendors will be on site with a variety of options available for purchase.
“We’re excited to be celebrating 10 years of this event with our community,” said Tera Chumley, Director of Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation. “It’s a great opportunity for families to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and experience everything Modesto Reservoir has to offer.”
Modesto Reservoir is located at 18143 Reservoir Road in Waterford. Admission is $15 per vehicle for Stanislaus County residents and $20 for non-residents. To help protect water quality, dogs and gasoline containers are not permitted. Attendees are encouraged to allow extra time for parking and entry due to high attendance.
