The fifth-grade students at Cunningham Elementary got to put their U.S. History lessons into action on Thursday during the school’s annual Pioneer Day. Cunningham fifth-grader Giniva Diaz washes her socks during while fifth-grade teacher Reid Volk is a good sport and allows his students to try and rope him. The students learned how animals were utilized during the Pioneer era and how they were cared for.
