policemans ball

Tickets for the Turlock Policeman’s Ball are currently on sale for at a discounted price.

Tickets for the Oct. 3 event are $35 per person or $60 per couple through Sept. 19. After that date the tickets will be $40 per person and $70 per couple.

The Turlock Policeman’s Ball is the largest fundraiser for the Turlock Police Association, Widow and Orphans Foundation. The Widows and Orphans benefit fund aims to assist employees of the police department and their families if a calamity happens to befall them. It also offers scholarships to the children of employees. It was established in 1951, two years after three Turlock police officers were killed in a vehicle accident with a train.

The theme for this year’s ball is “Pirates of the Caribbean” and attendees are encouraged to come in their finest pirate garb.

The festivities, which will start at 6 p.m. Oct. 3, include an open bar, dinner and dancing. The event will be at the Assyrian American Civic Club at 2618 N. Golden State Blvd.

Tickets are available at the Turlock Police Department at 244 N. Broadway.
