Pumpkins, people and pups
RAM farms 2

Brothers James and Joseph Lynch picked out their perfect pumpkins at R.A.M. Farms just in time for Halloween.

“It’s our annual tradition to come to R.A.M. Farms,” said Dana Lynch, mother of the two. “There is so much to do and it’s not far from home.  It’s like turning the boys loose at the park, but even better because it’s a pumpkin patch.”

Halloween will feature lots of entertainment at the local attraction including “BARKtoberfest” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited to bring their dogs to compete in a costume contest parade. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of the categories for most creative, scariest, best pup and owner combo, best trick for a treat and the best group “PAWstume.”

A free movie under the stars will also be provided at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. “Maleficent” will be shown Friday and “Ghostbusters” on Saturday.

R.A.M. Farms is also home to a 20 acre corn maze cut into the shape of a castle.

R.A.M. Farms is located at 716 N. Daubenberger Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
