W. Main Street, between Fransil Lane and Washington Road, will be closed for utility work by city crews from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today. Detours will be provided. Local access to residents and businesses will be allowed.
Berkeley Avenue, between Canal Drive and Marshall Street, will be closed for activities related to the Turlock High School Prom from 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Detours will not be provided.
Southbound Golden State Boulevard between Monte Vista Avenue and Tuolumne Road is temporarily down to one lane as work continues on the beautification project.
Caltrans has construction and closures planned for the following areas this week:
• The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on Highway 99 from the Turlock Rest Area to Hammett Road will alternately close from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. Saturday.
• The center and right lanes, and right shoulder on Highway 99 from Merced/Stanislaus County line to the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line will close from 7 p.m. until 10 a.m. through Saturday.
Motorists should expect 30 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
