Hundreds of people participated in the 2011 Udder Run in Hilmar held on Saturday, which benefitted the Hilmar High School and Hilmar Middle School track teams in association with the Merced Running Club.

Every Memorial Day, locals put on their red, white and blue attire, maybe don a red poppy in remembrance of the fallen, and make their way to Turlock Memorial Park cemetery.
