Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony

The Turlock fire and police departments will mark the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a memorial service at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The Sept. 11 memorial ceremony will be to honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center towers in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and a field near Shanksville, Penn. on Sept. 11, 2001.

The public is invited to join the two departments in a remembrance ceremony beginning at 8 a.m. at the Turlock Fire Department Station #31 located at 540 E. Marshall St.
