Turlock will soon be another home to Dos Coyotes Border Cafe, a Mexican food restaurant that originated in Sacramento with influences from Santa Fe and West Los Angeles.

Bobby Coyote, founder of Dos Coyotes, opened his first restaurant 25 years ago in North Davis and has decided to expand with new stores in 2016.

Coyote plans to build four new locations, three of them out of the Sacramento region and one of them in Turlock.

Ray Hussein will own the Turlock store and looks forward to bringing this restaurant to the community.

“We feel Dos Coyotes will appeal to the city of Turlock because we offer healthy, freshly prepared, high quality Southwestern Santa Fe cuisine at affordable prices for all ages,” he said. “The flavor profiles alone will blow your mind — everything at Dos Coyotes is made from scratch.”

Dos Coyotes thrives on being a locally based restaurant and plans to serve and invest in the Turlock community.

“Our plan is to contribute to schools, sports and quality of life in Turlock,” said Hussain. “We’re proud to sponsor events that raise funds for local non-profits or add to the spirit of the community.”

The fast-casual restaurant will be located at 3120 Hotel Dr. and is expected to open in June.
