SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER

While hundreds lined up outside of the Turlock Fruit Company on Saturday morning to pick up holiday food boxes as part of the Turlock Together campaign, other groups spread out around town to deliver food to senior citizens in need. For several years, the youth groups at Turlock’s First United Methodist Church have volunteered their time and man-power to help deliver food boxes to seniors.

“Caring for others is a huge part of living like Jesus for me. I believe it’s important for us to model that for our young people and to include them in giving back to people in need,” said Julie Freeby, FUMC Turlock youth group leader.
