Officials expect the new Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in Turlock to be open for business in August as construction at the site continues making progress.
The 37,000 square foot site at Golden State Boulevard and W. Christoffersen Parkway will be Sutter Gould’s new facility in Turlock. The two-story building will have space the for the 10 physicians practicing out of the offices at E. Main Street and Colorado Avenue, along with room to grow for another 15 to 20 doctors.
The facility will also have an urgent care center, a laboratory, and radiology service. The facility will offer primary care and specialists in internal medicine, pediatrics, and other specialties.
Sutter Gould broke ground on the estimated $23 million project in July 2013.
“Progress at the site remains on schedule,” said Sutter Gould spokesperson Susan Pimentel. Just recently the heating and air conditioning units were installed, the interior walls were framed and an American flag was raised on the new flag pole.
