Dinosaurs will be coming to Turlock for just one weekend and the place to see them is the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds.
Dinosaur fanatics of all ages can engage with over 50 life-size animated dinosaurs at the fairground’s T-Rex Planet dinosaur expedition Saturday and Sunday.
The animated dinosaurs take on a life of their own as they bat their eyelids, gnash their razor-sharp teeth, claw at guests with their colossal talons, and even appear to breathe. Visitors are warned by T-Rex Planet to watch out for swinging tails.
Attendees can take photos next to the prehistoric creatures and get an idea of their size, scale, and detail. All of the dinosaur exhibits will be accompanied with scientific and fun information for visitors.
Aspiring paleontologists will also be given the opportunity to discover covered dinosaur fossils as part of the expedition’s archaeological adventure. For those who prefer to have the fossils already discovered and ready to examine, the expedition has an impressive amount of remain replicas from the prehistoric creatures already on display.
More than 12 different dinosaur rides, including the crowd favorite T Rex Ride and the Walking Baby Triceratops ride will be made available during the weekend expedition. Other fun activities for guests include a dinosaur bounce house and face painting.
General admission tickets for T-Rex Planet are $13. However, children 2 years and under will be able to attend for free.
Ticket costs will only include a tour of the dinosaur exhibit. Attendees can purchase tickets for dinosaur rides, carnival sports games, dinosaur inflatables, and fossil dig for $5 each. There will be an additional cost for face painting and green screen photography.
VIP admission tickets are also available for $25 for children ages 3 through 12. These tickets will include a free toy, unlimited dinosaur bounce house and dinosaur rides, and a free T-Rex Planet helium balloon.
