Tasty food and thirst quenching local brews were just part of the draw of Taste of Turlock 2011. This year’s event was themed a heritage festival, with performances by multicultural dancers, singers and masked wrestlers.

Trina Walley, executive director of Turlock Downtown Property Owners’ Association, estimated that between 3,000 and 4,000 people attended the event, although paid participants have not yet been counted.

The first-ever Turlock Heritage Festival royal court included King Bill Youngdale, Queen June Jane, Prince Colin Kaepernick and Princess Alexandria Backus.
