A fire at a Turlock townhouse left one woman displaced from her home, the Turlock Fire Department reported.

The fire was reported at 10:15 p.m. Monday at a townhouse in the 3100 block of Andre Lane.

The first firefighters on the scene found one woman outside the home and heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor and the attic.

All Turlock Fire units responded to the scene. Additional resources at the fire included two engines, one truck, and one additional battalion chief from allied agencies. Additionally, engines from Turlock Rural Fire Department and Modesto assisted with city coverage during the fire.

Fire crews were able to get the fire under control and remained on scene for an extended period of time conducting overhaul.

The woman was displaced from her home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
