The Turlock Gospel Mission's drive to help the homeless community got a boost this holiday season from a donation by Save Mart. TGM received a $5,000 grant from Save Mart's C.A.R.E.S. program to help homeless individuals and families. C.A.R.E.S. stands for Community, Arts, Recreation, Education and Sports and focuses on improving lives under these categories.

As thousands took to Turlock over the last two weeks for the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair, the absence of a family that was incredibly dedicated to the community and especially its agricultural activities was heavily felt by several attendees. That included members of the Pitman High School FFA chapter.
