It feels good to be recognized, but it feels even better when that recognition is sanctioned by Awwwards.com which recognizes the talents and efforts of the best web designers, developers and agencies in the world.

Turlock based firm Ali Cox & Company Marketing received recognition by Awwwards.com for the company’s sleek website design for one of its clients, Galletto Ristorante, in downtown Modesto. Composed of an array of multidisciplinary judges from different countries, the panel of designers, bloggers, and agencies assess not only the effort but the quality of talent for each web project submitted to Awwwards.com

“We’re very humbled and touched by the international acknowledgement by Awwward,” says Founder and Principal Ali Cox. “We worked closely with our web designer to develop functional, beautiful and user-friendly navigation with simple copywriting and gorgeous photos. The big goals of the Galletto site were to simply showcase the delicious food and gorgeous ambiance of the restaurant.”

However, not just creating a polished website, but also drawing on local resources to do so was important to the marketing firm. The concept, strategy, design, coding and copywriting were completed locally and Cox worked with her team of marketers, including partnering website developer Jeff Byer, to make Galletto’s cuisine pop on the webpage. Since launching on May 23, the Galletto website has received over 3,000 page views.

“As with all our website projects, we do not outsource our coding internationally, which in this day and age is rare for a small marketing agency,” Cox says. “We refuse to compromise functionality and beauty — it’s more than a pet peeve. It’s an atrocity, in my mind.”

While the recognition by Awwwards.com is certainly an accolade for Ali Cox & Company, perhaps the most important recognition is the satisfaction of the client which was certainly accomplished according to Galletto Ristorante Executive Chef Michael Goularte.

“Ali and her team set out to create a website to show and tell our culinary perspective and highlight our seasonal, weekly menus, ever-changing wine menu and locally sourced approach. We’re proud of the website and the feedback has been tremendous,” said Goularte.
