The community of Turlock paid tribute on Wednesday to the lives lost 23 years ago during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The Amazon MCE1 warehouse on Fulkerth Road in Turlock flew an American flag at half-mast and lit up their building in red, white and blue with two spotlights reaching towards the sky in honor of the fallen World Trade Center towers. This is the second year in a row the Amazon warehouse has recognized Sept. 11, 2001 in this way.

The Turlock Fire Department hosted its annual community memorial and flag ceremony on Wednesday morning.

“We reflect on the tragedy, the bravery, and the sacrifices made that day. Our hearts remain with those affected, and we are forever grateful,” posted the City of Turlock on its social media pages.
