A ceremony honoring local Vietnam Veterans hosted by Mayor Gary Soiseth and the City of Turlock will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.

This annual ceremony is the third and final year of the City’s commitment to the Vietnam Commemorative Partnership, which seeks to honor the service of our local Vietnam Veterans.

The ceremony will begin with moment of silence and include special guest speakers. The event will include a ceremony honoring the veterans and inviting the community to continue tying of distinctive yellow ribbons around the historic war cannon in Central Park during the Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony in Turlock.

All community members are invited to tie a ribbon on the fence in Central Park throughout the day. If you would like to receive a ribbon please visit the Parks, Recreation, and Public Facilities Office at 144 South Broadway, Turlock.
