Turlock to host inaugural Stationary Fest

Handmade paper, like the ones sold at Paper Moon Stationary in downtown Turlock, will be on display at the inaugural Stationary Fest being held Saturday at Stan State.

Two years ago, Victoria Mires and her family opened the doors to Paper Moon Stationary and Art Supply in downtown Turlock and now the shop owner is instrumental in bringing the inaugural Central Valley Stationery Fest to Turlock.

More than 40 vendors offering original stationery, stickers, notebooks, art prints, greeting cards, writing accessories and other paper goods will be at the festival, being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the University Student Center at California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock. Every participating vendor sells independently created designs and AI-generated artwork is not permitted.

“We wanted to have an opportunity for artists and vendors who are stationary based to have a space to show their work and have a Stationary Fest like this be accessible to people in this part of the Valley,” said Mires.

The event will also feature emerging student artists, giving attendees the opportunity to discover and encourage the next generation of local creative talent.

Every ticket holder will receive a tote bag featuring an exclusive Central Valley Stationery Fest design by Itzel Islas of Yayitzel, included with admission. Free parking is included. Tickets are $25, with children 12 and under are free with paid adult admission.
