Walmart officially welcomed customers to its newly revamped Turlock store on Friday at 2111 Fulkerth Rd. The new supercenter features more grocery choices, easier, more convenient pickup, a refreshed pharmacy and vision center and a fresh look throughout the store.
The Turlock supercenter is one of 56 Walmart stores across California being remodeled this year.
“This remodel is more than just a new look for the store. It represents teamwork, partnership and our shared commitment to provide a better shopping experience every day. Thank you all for being part of this journey. Let's celebrate this achievement together and look forward to make our Walmart the best place to shop,” said Turlock Walmart General Manager Fide Mojica.
Some of the remodel features include:
- An expanded dry grocery department gives customers more options when shopping for pantry staples and everyday food needs;
- A brand-new pickup area with designated parking spaces makes it easier for customers to order online and have their groceries and other essentials brought directly to their vehicle;
- Updated layouts, signage and finishes create a more comfortable and customer-friendly experience for customers visiting the store’s Pharmacy and Vision Center; and
- Customers will notice an updated shopping environment throughout the Supercenter, with new fixtures and refreshed departments designed to make the store easier and more enjoyable to shop.
As part of Turlock’s remodel celebration, Walmart gave out $8,000 in grants to four local organizations supporting Turlock-area families and communities:
- $2,500 to Turlock Unified School District;
- $2,500 to Turlock Police Activities League;
- $2,000 to Love Stanislaus County; and
- $1,000 to Valley Children’s Hospital.
“At Walmart, being a part of the community means so much more than simply having a store here. Turlock is our community. It's where we work. It's where we build relationships, and where so many of us call home. That's why giving back is so important to us. Through volunteerism, donations, community grants, Walmart, and our associates, have opportunities to support local organizations and causes that make a difference in the lives of our neighbors,” said Danielle Reyes, with Turlock Walmart.
