Firefighters responded to two separate vehicle fires Monday, each requiring quick action to contain flames and protect nearby property, according to the Turlock Fire Department.

The first fire was reported at about 8:22 a.m. in the 1300 block of W. Main Street, where crews arrived to find multiple vehicles burning in a parking lot. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames, but three passenger vehicles sustained damage.

A second incident was reported at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Taylor Court. Crews arrived to find a semi-trailer, a dump truck and surrounding debris on fire. Firefighters brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading to nearby exposures.

Units from fire agencies across Stanislaus County assisted with suppression efforts and provided citywide coverage during the incidents. No injuries were reported in either fire.

Both fires remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Stanislaus County Fire Investigation Unit at 209-525-5537.
