The UC Cooperative Extension will hold its 45th annual Quad-County Walnut Institute from 8 a.m. to noon March 12 in the Stanislaus County Ag Center's Harvest Hall, on the corner of Crows Landing and Service roads in Modesto.

The UC Cooperative Extension will also hold its 2015 Tree and Vine IPM Update Breakfast meetings from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. the first and third Wednesdays from March through June at the Old Mill Cafe, 600 Ninth St., Modesto. One hour of continuing education credit will be available at each meeting.

Kathy Kelley Anderson and Roger Duncan will continue to host the IPM breakfast meetings. These free meetings are open to all interested fruit and nut growers, consultants, and pest control advisors for a casual discussion on current insect pest populations, disease problems, and methods of control.
