Warming up with Coats 4 Kids

For over 20 years, Westside Ministries has been collecting and distributing coats in an effort to keep area kids warm during the cold winter months. This year, the Turlock ministry is hoping to provide 1,000 coats to children in need. Students are referred to the Coats 4 Kids program through local schools. A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
