Albert John Baptista was born January 26, 1921 in Hughson, California to John and Anna Baptista. In 1941, he met and married the love of his life Geraldine (Tiny) Baptista at a Modesto Pentecost Celebration. In 1944, they were blessed with a daughter, Kathy Vaz.

Albert and his brother Alfred owned and operated A&A dairy in Hughson for 50 years. He and his brother also operated a commercial harvesting business, Baptista Brothers. They harvested beans from Ripon to Firebaugh. He thoroughly enjoyed working in agriculture and spending time with family. He loved going to breakfast with his siblings, spending time with his cardiac rehab group, playing checkers, rooting for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, and watching westerns. 

Albert is survived by his daughter Kathy Vaz of Hilmar, three granddaughters, Debbie (Eddie) Mendes, Diane (Duarte) Xavier, and Kathleen (John) Barton, six great-granddaughters Ashley (Martin) Cozzitorto, Jessica and Kaitlin Xavier, Lindsey Mendes, and Anneliese and Kendra Barton, and one great-great granddaughter, Kerrington Cozzitorto. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Baptista as well as his two sisters, Mabel Teicheira and Margaret Oliveria. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Tiny Baptista, son – in - law Tony Vaz, five brothers: Charlie, George, David, Roy and Alfred and two sisters, Marie Vierra and Florence Avelar.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A Rosary will be held at Turlock Funeral Home at 7 p.m. on Tues., May 31 at 425 N. Soderquist Rd. Turlock, CA. A viewing will precede the Rosary starting at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints University Parish on Wed., June 1 at 10 a.m. at 4040 McKenna Dr., Turlock, CA.
