Alcino Brasil Azevedo, 58, of Chowchilla, died Feb. 9 in Chowchilla. He was born in January 1953 in Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores.  He was a dairyman for 32 years and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church of Chowchilla. He enjoyed gardening, riding his scooter bike and spending time with family and friends.
Alcino is survived by his wife of 33 years, Herondina M. Azevedo of  Chowchilla; sons, Alcino Manuel Azevedo and his wife, Jacalyn, of San Diego and Francisco Arlindo Azevedo and his wife, Alyssa Keeney-Roe, of San Francsico; brothers, Alvarino Azevedo and his wife, Maria, Saozinha of Modesto, Aldevino Azevedo and his wife, Guilhermina, of Turlock, Alberto Azevedo and his wife, Carmen, of Turlock and Alzarino Azevedo and his wife,  Jackie, of Merced; and sisters, Albertina Avila and her husband, Joao, of Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores and Alexander McLain and her husband,  Ted, of Turlock.  He was preceded in death by his parents,  Alberto and Albertina Azevedo; and his brother, Albino Azevedo.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Whitehurst Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock.  A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
