A memorial service for Alice Valencia, 63, of Delhi, will be held at 10 a.m. July 7 at Calvary Chapel, 125 S. Orange St. in Turlock. She passed away at home with her niece by her side.
Alice was born in 1946 to Joaquin and Flora Valencia, and has lived in the Turlock/Delhi area throughout her life. Alice was a kind loving woman, who was greatly loved by all who knew her. Her faith in God was solid; she always found the time to pray for others in need, even while suffering through her own trials and illness. People in her life knew if they needed prayer, they could turn to Alice.
Alice had no children of her own, but with her compassion and patience she raised her niece, Lora Orozco, from the time she was 2 weeks old. Alice did a wonderful job, loving and caring for Lora, in return, Lora cared for Alice in her final days.
Alice leaves behind her niece Lora, (Orlando) Orozco and their children, Orlando Jr., Mario, Lenina, and Diamond Orozco of Delhi; siblings, Marylou Nava of Arizona and Ray Valencia of Fresno; as well as a many friends, who will all miss her dearly.
