Alonzo Ibarra, 24, of Turlock, passed away Monday in Newman.

Alonzo was a native of Delano and a current resident of Turlock. He previously resided in Newman for 14 years. He was a student at Modesto Junior College. He attended Orestimba High School in Newman and graduated from Westside High School class of 2004. He was also a graduate of ITT. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football.

Alonzo  is survived by his wife, Cindy Torrez of Turlock; daughter, Alia Ibarra of Turlock; parents, Nieves and Lydia Ibarra of Newman; brother, Celso Ibarra of San Jose; and sister, Andrea Ibarra of Sacramento. 

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct.  4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery in Patterson.
